PICC LEARNING COMMUNITIES
FALL 2024

Knowledge of God and His word are key parts of being a spiritually mature follower of Christ. PICC is offering a variety of communities that will focus on developing our understanding of God and His word.  OUR SUNDAY MORNING CLASSES WILL BEGIN ON SEPTEMBER 8.

SUNDAY  9:15am

Philippians

Where:  Chapel - 9:15am

Leader: David Rhodes (Pastor of Spiritual Formation PICC), John Pritchard (Bible Teacher)

What:  “Always be full of joy in the Lord.”  Those words from the beloved apostle Paul written in the last chapter of Philippians were written from prison.  Can we be joyful even when our world is full of challenges?  Can we be joyful even when are hurting and alone?  We can!  Paul’s letter to the Philippian church can help us find our way.  Each week we will read verse by verse through Paul’s epistle and hear what God is saying to us today.

CONERSTONE -Building Lives and Families on Christ

Where:  Building H - 9:15am

Leaders:  Jim and Peg Morgan (Veteran adult ministries leaders)

What:  The heart and soul of our time together in Cornerstone will be the realization that the Bible is the greatest guide ever written for our marriages, parenting, careers, and lives.   Peg and Jim will be openly sharing the many lessons they have learned during their 50+ years together (most of which were learned the hard way). Our hope is that the class time will be filled with learning, laughter, and fellowship.  Ideally, the final result will be an increased desire to build every aspect of our lives biblically with Jesus Christ as the Cornerstone.

“The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.”

Psalm 118:22 and I Peter 2:7(b)

SUNDAYS  10:30am

Profiting from the Prophets- Ezekiel

Where:  Building H - 10:30am

Leader:  Lydia Barrows (Bible Teacher)

What:   Ezekiel – His name means “strength of God or strengthened by God”! Ezekiel reveals both – The strength of God revealed throughout Biblical history (His Story) as well as His Word strengthening those who follow Him. We not only learn how God has worked in history, but valuable life lessons for today. As we continue the study of Ezekiel (chapters 33-48) we will discover great Biblical truths of end times, the unique role of Israel, the millennium & the eternal reign of Messiah (Jesus)! If you want to be strengthened in faith & aware of future events, join us.
